Job Description

The Reservations Manager is responsible for overseeing all aspects of the hotel's reservation process. This includes managing a team of reservation agents, optimizing room revenue, and ensuring a seamless guest experience from booking to check-in. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills, a keen eye for detail, and a passion for delivering exceptional customer service.

Responsibilities

  • Team Management:
    • Recruit, hire, train, and develop a high-performing reservations team.
    • Assign tasks, monitor performance, and provide regular feedback.
    • Foster a positive and collaborative work environment.
  • Revenue Management:
    • Implement strategies to maximize room revenue and occupancy rates.
    • Analyze market trends and adjust pricing strategies accordingly.
    • Monitor and control inventory to optimize room availability.
  • Reservation Process:
    • Oversee the entire reservation process, from initial inquiry to confirmation.
    • Ensure accurate and timely data entry into the property management system.
    • Handle special requests, group bookings, and VIP reservations.
    • Resolve guest inquiries and complaints promptly and professionally.
  • Guest Experience:
    • Deliver exceptional customer service by providing accurate information and addressing guest needs.
    • Promote the hotel's amenities and services to enhance the guest experience.
    • Maintain a strong understanding of the hotel's offerings and local attractions.
  • Reporting and Analysis:
    • Generate regular reports on key performance indicators (KPIs) such as occupancy rates, average daily rate, and revenue per available room.
    • Analyze data to identify trends and opportunities for improvement.
    • Prepare forecasts and budgets for the reservations department.
  • System Management:
    • Maintain proficiency in the hotel's property management system and reservation software.
    • Stay updated on industry trends and emerging technologies.
    • Troubleshoot system issues and implement solutions.

Qualifications

  • Proven experience as a Reservations Manager or similar role in the hospitality industry.
  • Strong leadership and organizational skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Proficiency in property management systems and reservation software.
  • Strong attention to detail and problem-solving abilities.
  • Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
  • Knowledge of revenue management principles and practices.
