Job Summary
Help keep the stage set at The Queen’s Cue and Boar’s Head Pub!
We are seeking a full-time Maintenance Technician to join the opening team behind one of Stratford’s most anticipated new hospitality destinations. As The Queen’s Cue prepares to welcome guests into its historic home, you will play an important role in keeping every guest room, public space, event venue and back-of-house area safe, functional and beautifully maintained.
This is a hands-on, day-to-day property care role for someone who takes pride in solving the small issues before they become larger ones. From a quick guestroom repair or touch-up in the pub, to a planned room inspection, meeting room setup or supporting a contractor on a larger repair, your work will help protect the experience our guests remember.
Reporting to the General Manager, you will work closely with hotel leadership, external vendors and specialist contractors to ensure the property remains guest-ready, well maintained and operating smoothly from day one.
At The Queen’s Cue, we are looking for our next great team member to join our Property Operations team. We are committed to providing you with:
Duties and Responsibilities
Does this sound like you?
You are a practical, reliable problem-solver who notices when something is not quite right and takes pride in putting it right. You enjoy hands-on work, can prioritize an urgent guest request while staying on top of planned tasks, and understand that the smallest details can have a major impact on a guest’s stay.
You bring experience in general maintenance, building operations, facilities, residential, retail, restaurant or hotel environments. Hotel or restaurant maintenance experience is a strong asset, but we are equally interested in someone with solid practical skills, sound judgement and a genuine willingness to learn.
You are comfortable using hand and power tools and have experience with routine repairs, painting, minor plumbing, basic carpentry and general troubleshooting. You understand when a repair is within your scope and when it is time to involve a qualified contractor or specialist.
You are able to move, lift, carry and place items up to 50 lbs without assistance, work safely on ladders, and perform tasks that involve standing, walking, bending, kneeling and reaching throughout the day. You are available to work a mix of daytime, evening, weekend and holiday shifts based on operational needs.
WHMIS, Working at Heights, First Aid or trade-related training are considered strong assets.
We welcome applications from people with disabilities. Accommodations are available upon request for candidates taking part in all aspects of the selection process.
