The Senior Manager, Redemption Pricing and Reimbursement Strategy, will utilize fiscal acumen to contribute to redemption and reimbursement strategies as well as identify and implement improvements to existing business processes.
Reporting to the Director, Redemption Products and Dynamic Pricing, this role manages pricing strategy and economics of the $2.5B redemption business as it continues to grow beyond the guestroom. This Senior Manager, under the direction of the Director of Redemption Pricing and Reimbursement Strategy, will run the analysis of existing award products in terms of pricing and reimbursement strategy, while also project managing the development of new award products to give members attractive ways to use their points at lower costs to the program. Specifically related to redemptions on guestrooms, the Senior Manager will use revenue management strategy to collaborate with the Operations Research team to make continued adjustments to the underlying algorithm to accommodate shifting market conditions at over 8000+ hotels globally while continuing to maintain the financial viability of the loyalty program.
The overall Loyalty Program and Operations team consolidates holistic responsibility for managing program, property, and member performance within Loyalty, maintaining strong connections to partner teams. Within this organization, the Liability Award and Reimbursement Strategy team manages existing redemption award products including redemption pricing, reimbursement strategy, redemption award products (Cash and Points, PointSavers, and upgrade awards) and develops new products, such as promotional pricing, to give members attractive ways to use their points at lower cost to the program. The Liability Award and Reimbursement Strategy team works closely with other partner teams including Reimbursement and Compliance, Finance, Loyalty Operations, and Revenue Management. The Senior Manager is primarily responsible for managing and evolving existing award processes, including new hotel setup, owner escalations and analysis, and inventory controls. This work combines analytical financial modeling, systems setup, process management, and direct engagement with Continent teams to socialize program decisions. He or she will also work closely with Finance counterparts managing complementary reimbursement processes to align analysis and communications.
