BASIC FUNCTION: The Nail Tech/Cosmetologist will perform manicures, pedicures, and hand and foot treatments on guests.QUALIFICATIONS: EDUCATION, KNOWLEDGE, TRAINING, & WORK EXPERIENCE
To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each of the essential duties and responsibilities satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required.
Must have High School Diploma or High School Equivalency Diploma (HSED).
Licensed by Indiana State Board of Cosmetology, Esthetician or Cosmetologist.
One year previous experience.
Must have the ability to deal effectively and interact well with the customers and employees.
Must have the ability to resolve problems/conflicts in a diplomatic and tactful manner.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
Ability to give meticulous manicure, pedicure, and hand/foot treatments.
Consults with the guest to ensure expectations are met for a pleasurable visit. May include site tour.
Cross-trains to perform all services within a unisex salon operation such as make-up applications, facial/skin care, and waxing as determined by license and certification.
Prepares nail and hair care equipment. Sanitizes instruments, treatment areas, and supplies daily. Completes all tasks necessary for opening and closing shifts.
On-time attendance is necessary, and uninterrupted work is expected.
Must be able to sit for long periods of time and lift 15 pounds.
Ability to perform current, fashionable, and age appropriate hair styles.
Ability to perform various treatment procedures and scalp treatments as requested by the guest.
Performs other duties as reasonably requested by Management.
