The Opportunity
Responsible for the supervision and the daily operations of the Table Games Department with decision making authority.
What You Get To Do
- Project a positive image of the Grand Casino and the Table Games department.
- Provide exceptional Guest service to both internal and external Guests.
- Directly supervises and assigns tasks to Supervisors and/or Dealers.
- Review and approve casino complimentary items to Guest.
- Adjust games spread to provide for optimal labor efficiency and Guest service.
- Ensure compliance with all applicable State, Federal and Tribal Gaming laws and regulations, as well as all departmental policies and procedures.
- Accountability to the highest degree for the control, discretion, accuracy and thoroughness of all records and reports.
- Assist with hiring, transfer, promote, evaluate, assign tasks and disciplinary action with all Table Games Associates in a fair and equitable manner.
- Inform Gaming leadership of important, relevant facts regarding specific players and/or major fluctuations of a game.
- Management of Table Games and staff, includes but not limited to budgeting, scheduling, training, counseling and discipline, evaluations, and development of staff members.
- Generate various operating reports as directed by Gaming executives.
- Maintain the ability to perform all job functions and duties within the department.
- Develop table game promotions and coordinate across property and departments including but not limited to, Marketing and Revenue audit.
- Perform all other duties as assigned by the Gaming Director.

What Qualifies You
- High School diploma or GED equivalent.
- Minimum of five (5) years Blackjack Table Games with a minimum of three (3) years in supervisory or management role required.
- Must have previously attended certified Dealer Training skills and passed a dealer audition.
- Have knowledge of all programs utilized in the pit including but not limited to Player tracking systems.
- Have working knowledge of all games dealt in the department.
- Possess basic computer skills and use of computer programs such as but not limited to; Microsoft Word and Excel.
- Must be able to secure license from Gaming Regulatory Authority (GRA).
- Responsible for following all relevant Detailed Gaming Regulations (DGR’s) and department SICS.
- Mille Lacs Band Member and American Indian preference will be exercised in the hiring process.
Must Haves
- Must have the ability to make gambling related decisions and deal with a variety of variables in situations where conflicting information exists.
- Be flexible with work schedule and be willing to work any hours and/or shift according to business needs including weekends, holidays and events.
- Adhere to all aspects of the Anti-Money Laundering (AML) program and its regulations, including, but not limited to, Title 31, Suspicious Activity Reporting and Customer Identification requirements.
- Must maintain ability to perform all tasks as a supervisor as well as maintains knowledge and ability to deal all games within the department.
- Must possess sufficient dexterity of hands that includes but not limited to, deal cards, handle chips continuously.
- Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and the ability to adjust focus.
- Ability to communicate effectively with customers as well as all levels of team members.
Work Environment
- A low-to-moderate noise level (offices).
- A moderate-to-loud noise level (public areas).
- Office, gaming floor and convention center environment including flashing lights, frequent loud noises, and cigarette smoke. Extensive computer use. Must handle hazardous materials. Occasionally must deal with angry or hostile individuals. High volume direct public contact.
