Sales Manager
Location: Philadelphia Suburbs, PA

Reports To: Director of Sales / General Manager
Position Summary:
The Sales Manager is responsible for generating top-line revenue through proactive sales efforts targeting corporate, group, SMERF, and local market segments. This role focuses on building strong relationships within the Philadelphia suburban business community, driving occupancy, and maximizing ADR and RevPAR in alignment with hotel goals.
Key Responsibilities:Revenue Generation
Solicit new and existing accounts to meet and exceed revenue goals
Identify and target key market segments including corporate, healthcare, education, sports, and social groups
Conduct outside sales calls throughout the Philadelphia suburban market
Respond to RFPs and leads in a timely manner
Negotiate contracts and close business to maximize profitability
Account Management
Develop and maintain relationships with local companies, travel managers, and third-party planners
Manage a portfolio of assigned accounts to drive repeat business
Host site tours and client meetings at the hotel
Participate in networking events, chamber meetings, and local business functions
Group & Event Sales
Generate group room nights and meeting space revenue
Collaborate with operations to ensure successful group execution
Participate in BEO and resume meetings as needed
Market Strategy
Monitor competitive set activity within the Philadelphia suburban market
Assist in developing sales action plans and segment strategies
Track pace, production, and market trends
Utilize CRM and brand systems to manage pipeline and reporting
Administrative
Maintain accurate sales records and reports
Prepare weekly sales activity and production reports
Ensure compliance with brand and company standards
Qualifications
Minimum 2 years hotel sales experience (select service or full service preferred)
Knowledge of the Philadelphia suburban market strongly preferred
Proven track record of meeting or exceeding sales goals
Strong negotiation, presentation, and closing skills
Experience with brand systems (e.g., Hilton OnQ, Marriott CI/TY, Delphi, etc.) preferred
Excellent communication and organizational skills
Valid driver’s license for outside sales calls
