Crescent Hotels & Resorts is honored to announce an exciting opportunity for a talented Executive Meetings Manager for the JW Marriott Reston Station!

The hotel features 248 rooms spread across 12 floors, setting a new standard for luxury accommodations in the DMV area. With the largest luxury meeting space in Northern Virginia, totaling 35,000 sq ft, it includes two ballrooms with 20-foot ceilings and plenty of natural light from floor-to-ceiling windows and a large skylight. The JW Residences occupy the remaining 16 floors. This impressive architectural gem is conveniently located along the Silver Line Metro, perfectly positioned between Dulles International and Reagan National airports, providing travelers with exceptional access to the capital region and beyond.

What will you be doing?

  • Prospect for new business – participate in sales blitzes, cold calling and contacting former clients to solicit new business and attends industry events/programs as needed.
  • Responds in a timely manner to incoming group/catering business opportunities.
  • Ensures that all business is booked within hotel parameters.
  • Conducts hotel site inspections and client presentations.
  • Create contracts and other related booking documentation as required. Manage and maintain client account files.
  • Builds and maintains strong client relationships.
  • Detail events to include all food & beverage, set up and audio visual needs. Ask appropriate questions of the clients and make suggestions to ensure the details meet the group and the hotel’s needs.
  • Create group resumes and communicate client needs to all departments of the hotel. Ensure hotel staff follows through on all requests.
  • Represent JW Marriott’s brand identity, values and pillars

What is required?

  • 2–5 years of experience in event management, catering, or luxury hospitality

  • Experience with high-profile or executive-level meetings preferred

  • Strong organizational and multitasking skills with exceptional attention to detail

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

  • Ability to remain calm and solution-oriented in a fast-paced environment

  • Proficiency in event management systems (e.g., Delphi, CI/TY) and Microsoft Office

  • Self-starting personality with an even disposition.
  • Can communicate well with guests.
  • Must be willing to “pitch-in” and help co- workers with their job duties and be a team player.
  • Can do, problem solver personality.
  • Friendly disposition with a passion for hospitality.
  • Team player who strives to support others and likes to win as a team.
  • Previous Marriott experience preferred.
