The Opportunity
As the Beverage Shift Supervisor at Grand Casinos, you will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of beverage service and operations during your shift. This role requires strong knowledge of beverages, exceptional customer service skills, and the ability to lead a team to deliver an outstanding beverage experience to our Guests.
What You Get To Do
- Oversee all aspects of beverage service, including bar operations, drink preparation, and maintaining an inviting and well-stocked bar area.
- Ensure that all beverages are prepared and served according to established recipes, quality standards, and presentation guidelines.
- Monitor inventory levels of beverages, ingredients, and supplies, and collaborate with the procurement team to maintain optimal stock levels.
- Ensure compliance with all applicable health, safety, and sanitation regulations related to beverage service.
- Lead and supervise the beverage team, providing guidance, training, and performance feedback to maintain a skilled and motivated team.
- Foster a positive work environment, encouraging teamwork, open communication, and a strong commitment to delivering exceptional customer service.
- Schedule and organize the team's shifts to ensure adequate coverage, efficient workflow, and exceptional service during peak hours.
- Lead by example, demonstrating a strong work ethic, professionalism, and a customer-centric mindset.
- Provide exceptional customer service, interacting with Guests in a friendly, engaging, and knowledgeable manner.
- Address Guest inquiries, concerns, and complaints promptly and professionally, striving to exceed their expectations.
- Continually monitor Guest satisfaction, seeking opportunities to enhance the beverage experience and resolve any issues that may arise.
- Train and educate beverage team members on product knowledge, drink preparation techniques, and customer service best practices.
- Keep the team informed about new beverage offerings, promotions, and any changes in recipes or procedures.
- Monitor beverage quality, consistency, and presentation, ensuring that all drinks meet or exceed the established standards.
- Conduct regular checks of equipment, cleanliness, and organization of the bar area, taking appropriate action to address any issues.
- Prepare reports on beverage sales, inventory, and other relevant metrics as required by management.
- Embrace any additional duties as assigned, contributing to the overall success of the team and the organization.

What Qualifies You
- Three (3) years of progressive Food & Beverage experience in a beverage service role, including a strong working knowledge of beverages, cocktails, and drink preparation techniques; or comparable experience in a related service-focused environment.
- Two (2) years of supervisory or managerial experience, preferably in hospitality with an emphasis on Food & Beverage; or an equivalent combination of demonstrated leadership experience gained through employment, community involvement, tribal organizations, military service, volunteer activities, training responsibilities, or other comparable experiences.
- Previous supervisory or leadership experience in a fast-paced hospitality environment.
- Serv-Safe Certification. Training is provided for the certification that is required within one (1) year of placement.
- Alcohol Awareness training. Training is provided for the certification that is required within 2 months of employment.
- Must be able to secure license from Gaming Regulatory Authority (GRA).
- Responsible for following all relevant Detailed Gaming Regulations (DGR’s).
- Mille Lacs Band Member and American Indian preference will be exercised in the hiring process.

- In-depth knowledge of beverage industry trends, products, and best practices.
- Strong organizational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines.
