Education

Bachelor's degree preferred with a concentration in Hospitality, Communications, Recreation, Business, Marketing, or a related field.

Must be able to speak, read, write, and comprehend English at a level sufficient to communicate effectively with members, guests, clients, and team members.

Training & Experience
  • Experience in hospitality, sales, membership services, relationship management, event coordination, or fundraising preferred.
  • Strong interpersonal and customer service skills.
  • Professional presence with a positive, outgoing personality.
  • Highly organized with exceptional attention to detail.
  • Strong technical literacy, including Microsoft Office applications, website management, and social media platforms.
  • Team-oriented mindset with the ability to foster positive relationships with members, guests, and fellow colleagues.
Job Summary

The Surf Club Coordinator plays a key role in supporting the daily operations of the Surf Club while delivering exceptional service to members and guests. This position is responsible for upholding the integrity of the club's membership experience through guest tracking, policy enforcement, process improvement, administrative support, event coordination, and expert knowledge of Surf Club amenities and programs.

This position reports directly to the Surf Club Manager and Director.

Physical Requirements
  • Ability to stand and walk for extended periods.
  • Ability to sit and perform administrative duties for extended periods.
  • Ability to provide tours of the Surf Club and confidently highlight club amenities and services.
  • Ability to work both indoors and outdoors as operational needs require.
Essential Responsibilities Member & Guest Experience
  • Interact with members and guests in a positive, courteous, and professional manner in person, via email, and by telephone.
  • Process, track, and facilitate member guest activity throughout the Surf Club.
  • Distribute guest wristbands and assist with guest access management.
  • Serve as a knowledgeable resource regarding club amenities, events, services, and policies.
  • Maintain confidentiality of all member and guest information.
  • Participate in club events and activities to assist with member engagement and guest relations.
  • Be present during club operating hours and events to welcome and assist members and guests.
Administrative & Operational Support
  • Manage and respond to guest inquiries.
  • Assist with updating membership accounts and maintaining accurate records.
  • Coordinate mobile app updates and related communications.
  • Provide general administrative and clerical support to Surf Club leadership.
  • Capture photos and content highlighting club activities, events, and daily operations.
  • Attend weekly meetings with Surf Club and Membership leadership to discuss property updates and member initiatives.
  • Complete additional assignments and special projects as directed by Surf Club leadership.
Program & Process Development
  • Assist recreation leaders in developing programs and activities that align with member interests and feedback.
  • Support the creation, implementation, and refinement of operational processes across all departments under the Surf Club umbrella.
  • Maintain a strong understanding of all Surf Club operations and services.
  • Assist with training current and new team members on Surf Club policies, procedures, and service standards.
  • Demonstrate the ability to assist various operational areas under special circumstances when needed.
Professional Standards
  • Maintain a professional appearance and uphold all company grooming and appearance standards.
  • Arrive to work on time and prepared for assigned duties.
  • Attend all required training programs, safety courses, departmental meetings, and company meetings.
  • Promote a safe work environment by identifying and reporting hazards and following established safety practices.
  • Maintain proficiency with property systems and software, including Microsoft Office, Canva, Jonas, Wrike, and other operational platforms as assigned.
