The North West Company South Indian Lake

South Indian Lake is a settlement located on the southeast shore of Southern Indian Lake in northern Manitoba, Canada, about 130 km (81 mi) north of the city of Thompson. The North West Company operates a Northern store in South Indian Lake, Manitoba, serving as a primary retailer for food and general merchandise in this remote northern community. A new, upgraded Northern store was opened in May 2024 to better serve the community. These stores provide essential services, including groceries and clothing.
