Practice Hospitality is seeking an experienced and hands-on Marketing Manager to join the team at The Mining Exchange Hotel.

About The Hotel

The Mining Exchange building was established in 1902 as a stock exchange for local mining companies. Completely reimagined in 2024, The Mining Exchange Hotel offers a one-of-a-kind experience in the heart of downtown Colorado Springs. The transformation, and each new offering therein, are inspired by the wild souls who carved hope and prosperity out of the mountains. Job Role

We’re looking for the right person to join this story and make some history with us. As Marketing Manager, you are responsible for all aspects of hotel-level marketing activities. Our ideal candidate is an energetic marketing professional who thrives on creativity, execution, and delivering results.

Responsibilities:

Communication, Execution, and Reporting

  • Plan, execute, and support marketing initiatives, guest communications, and collateral materials for hotel.
  • Manage on-site programming/activations including concept, coordination, promotion, and social sharing.
  • Actively pursue marketing opportunities, community networking and partnerships with local businesses or contacts.
  • Roll up PR and marketing partner reports to communicate hotel marketing KPIs to stakeholders: hotel teams, management company, and hotel ownership.  

E-commerce and Media: Owned, Paid, Earned

  • Manage and work with marketing agency for owned, paid, and earned media: website, email, social, messaging, print, radio, out of home, etc.

Media Relations

  • Manage and work with PR for media visits, media inquiries, and pitch press: local, regional, and national.
  • Be the point person on-site to ensure a seamless experience for media and influencers.
  • Support GM and DOSM to ensure presence at local DMO/CVB meetings, events, and engagements.

Creative

  • Maintain a curated, local calendar of events and on-site events, both on the website and in guest-facing materials on property.
  • Copywriting and content creation across a variety of platforms and channels, using a tool like Canva to execute on-brand content same day, on-site (may include flyers, menu specials, spa offers, hotel programming, events, etc.)
  • Collaborate and direct graphic design partners following brand standards.
  • Manage on-site photoshoot art direction and high-profile brand activations.
  • Share on-site activations and happenings in real time on Instagram Stories.
  • Manage third-party agency on seasonal guides, offers, and site updates.

Social Media

  • Potential to run 1-4 hotel and F&B outlet social media profiles, and/or manage third party agency
  • Develop monthly content calendar
  • Work with local partners on collaborative content/shoots
  • Create and execute all content, including static, carousels, and weekly reels for each profile
  • Manage and launch Facebook Event pages + Peak Radar listings for on-site, public events
  • Manage community, influencer, collaboration, and promotions.
  • Manage third party agency on social media advertising effort (sharing the latest offers and approving the content, as well as tracking/measuring the results)

Requirements

  • 4-year college degree preferred.
  • Minimum of two years’ experience  in marketing
  • Minimum of two years’ experience in hospitality
  • Knowledge and interest in F&B, hotels, hospitality, and/or travel
  • Experience working in Canva, using social media editing tools, and building email marketing campaigns
  • Locally connected, both in person and online (ie. comfortable with, and active, on social media)
  • Ability to grasp, lift and/or carry, or otherwise move goods weighing a maximum of 20 lbs. on an occasional basis.
  • Ability to read, write and speak English to comprehend and communicate job functions.
  • Ability to brainstorm and create special themes, programming, and capture content as it unfolds for holidays, etc.
  • Ability to stand, walk, and/or sit continuously to perform essential job functions.
  • Ability to effectively deal with internal and external customers, some of whom will require high levels of patience, tact and diplomacy to defuse anger, collect accurate information and resolve conflicts.
  • Ability to learn and perform all essential job functions accurately and safely with minimal direct supervision, within the initial training period after the team member begins work.

Compensation: $65k to $75k
