We’re looking for an Accountant to maintain financial procedures and compliance with GAAP, assist with budgets and monthly closeout processes. Ideal candidate will need to be able to work in a team environment, while also able to work and think independently.

Compensation: $55,000 - $65,000 based on experience, Full-Time

Accountant

Key Duties:

  • Prepare monthly journal entries
  • Review general ledger activity weekly and monthly
  • Work closely with Accounts Payable to ensure all AP is in for month
  • Ensure all accruals are posted and reversed in following month
  • Maintain accurate work papers for account reconciliations
  • Review monthly bank reconciliations and report any aging items
  • Complete weekly Gross Profit reports
  • Ability to communicate with all levels of management and executives
  • Prepare monthly financial statements
  • Update bank covenant compliance sheet monthly with accurate results
  • Monitor fixed assets and record monthly depreciation
  • Prepare any Ad hoc reporting when needed
  • Pay monthly Sales and Use tax for all business segments
  • Prepare quarterly inventory journal entries
  • Assist with yearly budget preparation
  • Assist with yearly audit preparation

Requirements: 

  • B/S in Accounting
  • 3+ years of experience in related work
  • Oracle, Cognos, Yardi Voyager and QuickBooks experience preferred
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Ability to multi-task, prioritize and work efficiently so deadline are not missed
  • Ability to identify and correct errors
  • Intermediate to advanced experience with MS Excel
