JOB SUMMARY:

This position contributes to the success of Los Angeles Athletic Club by creating positive experiences for every member and guest who visits the club. The Outlets Manager is responsible for supervision of all member food and beverage outlets including Invention Lounge, Famous Player’s, Plunge Café, The Blue Room, Duke’s and any special events and activations put on by the Club. Maintain service standards that ensure our members receive friendly, attentive, and quality service from our service team. Develop and implement programs and strategies to increase revenues (repeat business and higher check averages).

RESPONSIBILITIES: 

  • Ensure team and department are compliant of company policies and procedures.
  • Maintain positive guest relations with all customers and resolve disputes as they relate to our members’ and guests’ dining experience.
  • Provide member feedback to the Executive Chef and the Dir. of F&B. Suggest addition or deletion of new items regarding the quality and presentation of all menu items.
  • Maintain appearance, cleanliness, sanitation, and safety of dining room areas, equipment, and fixtures. Check the maintenance of all equipment in the dining room and report, in writing, deficiencies, and maintenance concerns.
  • Purchase food and beverage supplies as needed i.e., glasses, plates, cups, saucers, silverware etc.
  • Maintain the P.O.S. in proper operating order in all outlets.
  • Oversees dining reservations for all outlets.
  • Directs pre-shift meetings with dining room personnel, communicate policy changes and special requests
  • Maintains floor presence at all times during meal periods.
  • Supervise dining room staff to ensure proper service; support service staff by taking and serving food or beverage orders when necessary.
  • Handles all end of day procedures closeout procedures ensure that all sales are fully accounted for.
  • Provides budget information as requested by General Manager.
  • Lead the FOH team members by demonstrating world class hospitality to all members and guests of members during their time at the club with a direct focus on their F&B experience.
  • Have up to date knowledge of all Club activities and events; communicate this information to all service personnel.
  • Execute staff trainings
  • To the greatest extent possible, knows and calls members by their names.
  • Assist in taking inventories as requested.
  • Engage other departments to create a harmonious, team-oriented working relationship.
  • Available to work all special and holiday events and activations.
  • Attend and participate in management training sessions offered by The Club.
  • Provides training to ensure compliance with all alcoholic beverage service laws.
  • Consistently adhere to the Los Angeles Athletic Club Core Service Standards.
  • Ensure a safe work environment.

MUST HAVE: 

EDUCATION, LICENSES, & CERTIFICATION: 

  • Required: Minimum of five (5) years of experience in same or similar positions in the Food & Beverage industry
  • Required: Food Handler’s and Responsible Beverage Service (RBS) Certification(s)
  • Required: High School Diploma or GED Equivalent
  • Ideal: Bachelor’s or Master’s College Degree in Hospitality Management or related field
  • Required: Current California Driver License with satisfactory Department of Motor Vehicle driving record.

ESSENTIAL QUALIFICATIONS: 

  • Required: At least twenty-one (21) years of age.
  • Required: Reliable and punctual attendance.
  • Required: Excellent time-management skills; prioritizing and completing assigned job tasks effectively.
  • Ideal: Bi-lingual oral, speech, and writing skills in English and Spanish or other language is an asset in this position
  • Required: Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills
  • Required: Computer Experience with a proficiency in Microsoft Office programs, Outlook, Word, Excel
  • Required: Excellent verbal and written communication skills; ability to convey messages clearly and compose correspondence with correct and proper grammar.
  • Required: Ability to convey messages clearly and confidently; persuade and effect change positively.
  • Required: Capable of working effectively independently with minimal supervision
  • Required: Strong analytical skills.
  • Required: High attention to detail and accuracy
  • Required: Strong organizational skills
  • Required: Ability to prioritize effectively and efficiently meet deadlines and produce work in a timely manner.

Pay: Annual Salary Range $75,000.00 - $85,000.00 USD
