A Florist operates the internal flower shop, workshop and facilities daily in line with the hotel policies and procedures.

What will I be doing?

As Florist operates the internal flower shop, workshop and facilities daily in line with the hotel policies and procedures, you will be responsible for performing the following tasks to the highest standards:

• Do flower arrangements for public area, guestrooms, outlets, banquet functions and all areas of the hotel
• Fulfil guests' and customer’s flower order and arrangement needs.
• Fulfil guests’ special occasion’s decoration requests like birthdays, anniversary and etc  
• Responsible for ordering flowers, floral products and monitor their arrivals with the vendors.
• Responsible for coordination with flower and floral products vendors.
• Responsible for monitoring par stocks and make required requisitions.
• Responsible for sorting, organizing, cleaning and re-stock all supplies.
• Ensure good relations with internal departments, clients and vendors to resolve issues.
• Monitor all flower vase inventory and counts for breakage or loss.
• Maintain photos of all varieties of floral arrangement done as a sample for the future guests.
• Stay up to date and current design trends, floral techniques, props and other products.
• Able to create visually appealing flower arrangements for hotel's daily requirements
• Ensure that all designs meet the hotel standards and meet or exceed guest’s expectations.
• Ensure that all floral arrangements are within the allocated budget and deadlines.
• Ensure floral orders updated on the register and appropriately sign off to be taken from guest or other departments.
• Prepare billing / voucher for all guest order, events and charges to post to the appropriate guest or banquet folio.
• Carry out routine checks on the outlet and hotel’s flower arrangement needs.
• Control the daily order and quantity of flowers, avoid wastage and reuse flowers as much as possible.
• Complete all jobs on time in accordance with the schedule given. 
• Provide friendly and courteous service to guests and team members. 
• Topping up watering solutions to enhance our flowers' life spans.
• Maintain a high standard of cleanliness at both the flower shop and workshop.
• Carry out any other reasonable duties and responsibilities as assigned.
