The Opportunity

We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Strategic Specialist to join our Talent team. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in implementing the Entrepreneurial Operating System (EOS) across both casinos, taking charge of EOS functions for the Gaming Group and the Casinos. The primary responsibilities include leading EOS meetings, tracking progress, ensuring accountability, and facilitating goal-setting processes.

What You Get to Do

  • Implement the Entrepreneurial Operating System (EOS) across gaming operations.
  • Conduct regular EOS meetings, ensuring effective communication and collaboration.
  • Set up quarterly and annual meetings, handling logistics and coordination.
  • Lead the team through SMART goal-setting sessions and align objectives within the EOS framework.
  • Track and monitor progress on strategic initiatives and objectives.
  • Maintain documentation related to strategic functions and progress.
  • Work closely with senior leadership to influence outcomes, motivate change, and ensure growth within the organization.
  • Collaborate with team members to facilitate seamless communication and reporting.
  • Facilitate dynamic group coaching sessions, empowering team members to share insights, overcome challenges, and achieve personal and professional growth within the EOS framework.
  • Assist team(s) in identifying, prioritizing, and resolving issues.
  • Identify strategic goals aligned with the company's vision and mission within the EOS framework.
  • Work to assist team(s) in setting new goals and objectives, fostering a culture of continuous improvement and goal achievement.
  • Take proactive steps to ensure the company has the necessary resources for identified goals.
  • Motivate teams to embrace action plans and new strategies.
  • Ensure effective collaboration and teamwork within the company, fostering a culture of accountability and goal achievement.
  • Collaborate with internal departments (e.g., marketing, finance) to integrate strategies into broader business functions.
  • Create synergy between EOS implementation and various business units.
  • Develop and execute business strategies that benefit profitability and align with EOS principles.
  • Partner with leaders to conduct thorough research to stay aware of business and market trends.
  • Be prepared to adjust strategies based on changes in the marketplace, ensuring the company remains agile and responsive.
  • Encourage the team to adapt and evolve strategies based on ongoing assessments and feedback.

Qualifications

  • A bachelor's degree in a related field.
  • Minimum of 2 years in a similar role with proven experience in implementing strategic frameworks.
  • Must be willing to become certified in EOS.
  • Proven project management skills, with the ability to plan, execute, and oversee projects from inception to completion, ensuring alignment with strategic goals and timely achievement of objectives.
  • Proven ability to work with senior leadership to influence outcomes, motivate change, and ensure growth.
  • Must be able to secure a license from the Gaming Regulatory Authority (GRA).
  • Responsible for following all relevant Detailed Gaming Regulations (DGR’s).
  • Mille Lacs Band Member and American Indian preference will be exercised in the hiring process.

The Mille Lacs Band of Ojibwe is an Ojibwa tribe located in Minnesota. The tribe boasts over 4,000 tribal members. Their land-base is the Mille Lacs Indian Reservation, consisting of two reservations and nine communities defined in the tribal constitution, aggregated into three districts.
