The Opportunity

As the Shipping and Receiving Specialist for Grand Casinos you will manage inventory and inbound and outbound transfers. As a vital member of our warehouse team, you will play a pivotal role in maintaining accurate records, inspecting shipments, and ensuring timely deliveries. Your ability to work collaboratively, adapt to changing conditions, and perform tasks in diverse environments will contribute to our success. In this role, you will be a self-motivated team member that possesses computer skills to efficiently operate various software programs, including Red Rock, 3PL and Workday.

What You Get To Do

  • Unload incoming packages from trucks, ensuring careful handling and safety protocols.
  • Receive shipments and accurately complete required paperwork upon receipt.
  • Inspect and verify the condition and contents of packages to ensure they are undamaged and match order specifications.
  • Utilize computer skills to interact with the Red Rock 3PL and Workday programs for tracking and management purposes.
  • Collaborate with relevant departments to confirm the accuracy of received orders.
  • Label and allocate deliveries to their designated storage locations.
  • Prepare shipments for outbound transfers and maintain comprehensive shipment records.
  • Attach packing slip/invoice to Purchase Orders, recording essential information such as quantity, date, invoice number, etc.
  • Maintain a strong understanding of different product categories, including dry goods, paper products, chemical supplies, and Food & Beverage items.
  • Other duties as assigned that are related to this role.

What Qualifies You

  • High School diploma or GED required.
  • Prior warehouse and receiving experience is essential.
  • Valid certification to operate a forklift.
  • Possession of a valid driver's license.
  • Capability to lift up to 100 lbs.
  • Excellent memory for spatial organization and product location.
  • Comfortable working in varied climates, including hot and cold environments, coolers, and freezers.
  • Must be able to secure license from Gaming Regulatory Authority (GRA).
  • Responsible for following all relevant Detailed Gaming Regulations (DGR’s).
  • Mille Lacs Band Member and American Indian preference will be exercised in the hiring process.

Must Have Skills

  • Basic math skills for counting, adding, subtracting, and multiplying when handling shipments and maintaining accurate inventory counts.
  • Strong organizational abilities to maintain an orderly warehouse environment, accurately label shipments, and keep comprehensive records.
  • Ability to navigate and utilize software tools effectively to maintain accurate records.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills for interacting with team members, collaborating with departments, and confirming order details accurately.
  • Self-driven and capable of working independently to complete tasks efficiently and contribute to the team's success.
  • Maturity and discretion when dealing with confidential information related to orders, shipments, and inventory.
  • Ability to troubleshoot and address issues that may arise during shipments, deliveries, or inventory management.
  • Proficiency in handling multiple tasks simultaneously, especially during peak periods, while maintaining accuracy and efficiency.
  • Willingness to adapt to changing processes, technologies, and demands in a dynamic warehouse environment.
