AM & PM Shifts

The Bistro Attendant is responsible for providing friendly, attentive, and personalized service to guests in the hotel's bistro and bar. This role ensures a high-quality dining experience by preparing food and beverages, accurately processing orders, and maintaining a clean and organized dining area.

Key responsibilities
  • Guest service:
    • Greet and engage with every guest in a warm and enthusiastic manner.
    • Learn guest names and preferences to offer a more personalized experience.
    • Listen to guest needs, provide menu recommendations, and answer questions about food, beverages, and hotel services.
    • Ensure guest satisfaction by checking in on their dining experience and responding promptly to requests.
  • Food and beverage preparation:
    • Accurately take food and beverage orders and enter them into the Point of Sale (POS) system.
    • Prepare and cook food items, including coffee beverages and specialty drinks, using bistro equipment such as TurboChef ovens and espresso machines.
  • Perform bartending duties as required, including mixing drinks and serving alcoholic beverages in compliance with all relevant laws.
  • Operations and cleanliness:
    • Process payments, handle cash, and perform end-of-shift paperwork and closing procedures.
    • Complete all opening, running, and closing side work, such as stocking supplies, cleaning surfaces, and sanitizing equipment.
    • Maintain the cleanliness and organization of the bistro, bar, and kitchen areas.
    • Monitor and ensure proper food and appliance temperatures, following all food safety and sanitation standards.
    • Teamwork and support:
    • Collaborate and communicate effectively with teammates to ensure smooth operations.
    • Assist fellow team members or other departments as needed.
    • Report any unsafe conditions or maintenance issues immediately.
  • Qualifications
    • Experience: Previous experience in food service, hospitality, or bartending is preferred but not required, 
    • Certifications:
      • Alcohol server certification 
      • Food safety certification 
  • Skills:
    • Excellent customer service, communication, and interpersonal skills.
    • Strong time management and multitasking abilities in a fast-paced environment.
    • Basic math skills for handling cash and transactions.
    • Familiarity with POS systems.
  • Physical requirements:
    • Ability to stand and walk for extended periods.
    • Capability to lift and carry objects weighing up to 25 pounds, and occasionally up to 50 pounds.
    • Ability to bend, reach, and perform repetitive tasks.
  • Specify shifts: AM Bistro Attendant  or PM Bistro Attendant both would be required.
