The Bistro Attendant is responsible for providing friendly, attentive, and personalized service to guests in the hotel's bistro and bar. This role ensures a high-quality dining experience by preparing food and beverages, accurately processing orders, and maintaining a clean and organized dining area.
Key responsibilities

Guest service:
- Greet and engage with every guest in a warm and enthusiastic manner.
- Learn guest names and preferences to offer a more personalized experience.
- Listen to guest needs, provide menu recommendations, and answer questions about food, beverages, and hotel services.
- Ensure guest satisfaction by checking in on their dining experience and responding promptly to requests.

Food and beverage preparation:
- Accurately take food and beverage orders and enter them into the Point of Sale (POS) system.
- Prepare and cook food items, including coffee beverages and specialty drinks, using bistro equipment such as TurboChef ovens and espresso machines.
- Perform bartending duties as required, including mixing drinks and serving alcoholic beverages in compliance with all relevant laws.

Operations and cleanliness:
- Process payments, handle cash, and perform end-of-shift paperwork and closing procedures.
- Complete all opening, running, and closing side work, such as stocking supplies, cleaning surfaces, and sanitizing equipment.
- Maintain the cleanliness and organization of the bistro, bar, and kitchen areas.
- Monitor and ensure proper food and appliance temperatures, following all food safety and sanitation standards.
- Teamwork and support:
- Collaborate and communicate effectively with teammates to ensure smooth operations.
- Assist fellow team members or other departments as needed.
- Report any unsafe conditions or maintenance issues immediately.

Qualifications
- Experience: Previous experience in food service, hospitality, or bartending is preferred but not required,

Certifications:
- Alcohol server certification
- Food safety certification

Skills:
- Excellent customer service, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Strong time management and multitasking abilities in a fast-paced environment.
- Basic math skills for handling cash and transactions.
- Familiarity with POS systems.

Physical requirements:
- Ability to stand and walk for extended periods.
- Capability to lift and carry objects weighing up to 25 pounds, and occasionally up to 50 pounds.
- Ability to bend, reach, and perform repetitive tasks.
- Specify shifts: AM Bistro Attendant or PM Bistro Attendant both would be required.
