The Food & Beverage Supervisor oversees multiple Food and Beverage outlets, including restaurants, room service, and lounges. This position is responsible for supervising daily operations, leading staff, and ensuring exceptional guest service across all assigned outlets. Responsibilities include greeting and escorting guests, supervising team members, and maintaining a courteous, efficient operation that consistently delivers high-quality products and service.
This job description outlines the primary responsibilities and qualifications but is not intended to be all-inclusive. The hotel operates 24 hours a day, 7 days a week; therefore, operational demands may require varied schedules, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
Manage Food & Beverage service across multiple outlets to consistently meet hotel and Hilton brand standards
Effectively control guest flow and coordination between front-of-house and back-of-house teams
Ensure team members maximize all sales opportunities
Maintain brand standards and high levels of guest service at all times
Handle guest inquiries and concerns professionally and efficiently
Accurately manage all transactions during service
Manage team member schedules, inventory, and waste control
Assist the Restaurant Manager and/or F&B Director with interviewing, hiring, training, supervising, coaching, and disciplining staff
Maintain outlet scheduling and payroll accuracy
Organize and conduct pre-shift and departmental meetings, communicating key information such as house count, daily specials, promotions, and menu changes
Greet guests, escort them to tables, and present menus
Answer telephones professionally; coordinate and document reservations
Maintain communication with all hotel departments and attend relevant meetings
Participate in marketing efforts, assist with menu development, survey competitors, and report on food and beverage trends
Monitor product quality and guest satisfaction; interact with guests to obtain feedback
Ensure food quality is consistent, visually appealing, and prepared to guest specifications
Maintain outlet profitability by controlling payroll, inventory, equipment costs, and minimizing loss and misuse
Ensure par stock levels are maintained through accurate inventory, ordering, and stocking
Ensure proper maintenance and use of equipment; request repairs as needed and train staff on correct usage
Support the overall Food & Beverage operation, including supervising other outlets or areas as needed
Assist with special projects, promotions, public relations, and marketing initiatives
Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work environment
Adhere to all company policies, procedures, and safety standards
Follow fire prevention, emergency, safety, and security procedures
Utilize protective equipment and report unsafe conditions, accidents, or incidents to management
Maintain a neat, clean, and professional appearance per company standards
Perform additional duties as assigned and assist other Food & Beverage team members as needed
Thorough knowledge of Food & Beverage operations, including service standards, supervisory practices, and guest interaction
Knowledge of all State, Federal, and Corporate liquor regulations
Current Food Handler Card required
Ability to work under pressure in fast-paced environments
Knowledge of proper table settings and service ware
Basic English proficiency to communicate with guests and team members
Ability to read and apply written instructions and product labeling
Ability to memorize and promote menu items
Ability to operate beverage and service equipment (e.g., coffee machines)
Ability to lift and transport up to 30 lbs
Constant standing and walking throughout the shift
Frequent bending, twisting, stooping, reaching, talking, hearing, and visual interaction with guests
