JOB SUMMARY

The Minibar Attendant is a Full-Time position responsible for the daily operation of in-room minibars, including restocking, inventory control, organization of minibar storage, and accurate posting of guest charges. This role ensures minibar standards are consistently met, products are replenished in a timely manner, and all minibar activity is properly recorded to support revenue control and guest satisfaction. 

ESSENTIAL DUTIES & FUNCTIONS

Shift requirements:

  • Morning shifts: 9:00am-5:00pm-Mini Bar Attendant (Minibar Attendant hours at a rate of $6.00/ hour plus tips.)

Mini Bar Attendant Responsibilities

  • Contribute positively to the team within the department
  • Prepare for any/all guest requests
  • Participating in on-going training
  • Comply with Valencia Hotel Group (and its affiliates) standards and regulations to encourage safe and efficient hotel operations.
  • Maintain regular attendance in compliance with Valencia Hotel Group (and its affiliates) standards as required by scheduling which will vary dependent upon the hotels needs
  • Complete other duties as assigned by Supervisor
  • Display working knowledge off all menu items and prices
  • Complete side work as assigned
  • Stock minibar cart at the end of the day (before each shift)
  • Charge guests accordingly in hotel’s property management system (StayNTouch)
  • Maintain and organize minibar storage room.
  • Maintain inventory and report to supervisor
  • Meet AAA standards and procedure
  • Pick up trays from guest rooms and hallways (if needed) and set in proper location.
  • Attend required meetings
  • Keep work areas clean and organized
  • Be extremely courteous to all customers and fellow employees
  • Report unsafe conditions to your supervisor immediately
  • Maintain hotel equipment in proper working conditions
  • Communicate with team members by receiving tasks that need to be completed and assigning any necessary tasks that need to be completed via the Alice system (effort log)

BASICS 

  • Maintain cleanliness and organization in all work areas
  • Display courteous behavior with guests and team members
  • Report any unsafe conditions immediately
  • Ensure hotel equipment is in proper working condition
  • Perform any additional duties assigned by the supervisor

Physical Requirements

  • Sitting: Not applicable
  • Standing/Walking: Must be able to stand and walk for extended periods of time throughout the shift. 
  • Lifting/Carrying: Ability to lift and carry minibar supplies (up to 50 lbs if applicable)
  • Other Physical Requirements: Frequent bending, reaching, and light lifting required. 

Working Environment

  • Interior: Operating inside the hotel.
  • Exterior: Not applicable

CANDIDATE PROFILE

Education and Experience

  • High school or equivalent education required.

ESSENTIAL SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS 

  • Minibar Duties with Customer Service experience preferred.
  • Communicate effectively with others.
  • Works productively with a team
  • Effective multitasking skills
  • Composure and patience under pressure
  • Knowledge of Tabit (P.O.S System), StayNTouch, and Alice platforms
  • Valid TABC Certification
  • Valid Food Handler's Certificate
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Effective time management and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to work well with a team and demonstrate attention to detail
  • Excellent organizational skills and interpersonal abilities
