AC Marriott Bar & Lounge Cook

Pay scale: $17-$19/hr.

We are seeking a talented and motivated Bar & Lounge Cook to join our team. This role is responsible for preparing and presenting high-quality small plates, appetizers, and menu items served in our stylish AC Lounge. The ideal candidate has a passion for food, attention to detail, and the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced hospitality environment.

At the AC Hotel, we focus on thoughtful design, elevated service, and curated food and beverage experiences. As a Bar & Lounge Cook, you will play a key role in delivering a memorable dining experience for our guests.

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare and cook menu items according to AC Lounge standards and recipes, ensuring consistency and quality.

• Maintain proper food preparation, presentation, and portion control.

• Ensure all food is prepared in a timely and efficient manner to support lounge service.

• Maintain a clean, organized, and sanitized kitchen environment in accordance with health and safety regulations.

• Monitor food inventory and assist with ordering and stocking supplies.

• Follow proper food handling, storage, and temperature control procedures.

• Assist with preparation and setup for lounge service, including prep work.

• Work collaboratively with the bartenders, servers, and management team to ensure a smooth guest experience.

• Properly store and label food items while minimizing waste.

• Assist with kitchen closing procedures and cleaning duties.

Qualifications

• Previous line cook, prep cook, or kitchen experience preferred.

• Ability to work in a fast-paced hospitality environment.

• Knowledge of food safety and sanitation standards.

• Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.

• Ability to work evenings, weekends, and holidays, as the AC Lounge operates primarily during evening hours.

• Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 40 lbs.

• Team-oriented attitude with strong communication skills.

Preferred Skills

• Experience preparing small plates, tapas-style dishes, or bar menu items.

• Experience in hotel or restaurant kitchen environments.

• Food safety certification (or willingness to obtain).
