Summary Description

We are looking for a Maintenance Manager who will be responsible for managing the operations of the maintenance department and in charge of participating in the execution of all tasks related to the technical maintenance of the building in order to offer our customers an impeccable product in accordance with the hotel's standards.

Responsibilities

  • Support, supervise and guide the maintenance team.
  • Participate in the hiring and training of the maintenance team, and ensure daily monitoring of learning progress.
  • Ensure that the maintenance team has the necessary tools for the proper functioning of operations.
  • Achieve the department's performance objectives, in terms of guest satisfaction, employee satisfaction, adherence to budget, etc.
  • Managing daily activities while ensuring their quality, adherence to standards, and guest satisfaction.
  • To ensure the smooth running of department operations by planning one's own work and that of one's team according to priorities and emergencies (inspections, major works, renovations, etc.).
  • Direct the maintenance and repair work on machinery, equipment, and electrical and mechanical systems.
  • Responding to emergencies, both technical and practical, for internal and external clients.
  • Implement a preventive maintenance program and ensure its completion on a daily basis.
  • Maintain up-to-date emergency procedures and provide training accordingly.
  • In charge of budget monitoring for the department.
  • May be called upon to perform the tasks of the department's technicians as needed.
  • Progressive management of disciplinary situations.
  • Conduct performance reviews and develop plans with each team member.
  • To offer a service that exceeds the expectations of our guests and to convey this quality of service to the entire team.
  • Responsible for ensuring compliance with hotel standards and policies.
  • To ensure a smooth flow of service across the different departments of the hotel.
  • Building an environment where trust, respect, and cooperation prevail throughout the team.
  • To ensure the mobilization and recognition of the entire team.

General

  • Respect confidentiality guidelines and the code of ethics in all areas of the company;
  • Represent the Hotel Rive Gauche professionally at all times;
  • Promote and apply teamwork skills at all times;
  • Comply with required safety regulations and procedures;
  • Attend appropriate hotel meetings and training sessions.

Skills and Requirements

  • Diploma of studies in a field related to building maintenance or an equivalent combination.
  • (3) years of experience in the field of technical maintenance.
  • Excellent organizational skills, ability to manage priorities and provide outstanding customer service.
  • Excellent ability to establish and maintain good business relationships with other departments and external stakeholders.
  • Ability to work under pressure and know how to manage stress.
  • Eagerness to respond to emergencies.
  • Leadership, proactivity, initiative, and autonomy.
  • Enhanced skills in personnel management.
  • Available day, evening, and weekend.
