Full-Time Position
The Laundry Attendant at The Laurel Hotel plays an essential role in maintaining the cleanliness, comfort, and elevated presentation expected across the Danville Hotel Collection. This position is responsible for processing hotel linens and terry, ensuring timely turnaround, maintaining quality standards, and supporting proper inventory levels.
This role is a key part of the housekeeping operation and may also support the housekeeping team with guest rooms, linen delivery, public areas, and other operational needs as assigned.
Key ResponsibilitiesLaundry OperationsWash, dry, fold, and organize hotel linens and terry according to property standards.
Operate commercial laundry equipment safely and efficiently.
Inspect linens and terry for stains, tears, damage, or excessive wear.
Treat stains and report damaged items or recurring issues to the Housekeeping Manager.
Maintain a clean, organized, and safe laundry room at all times.
Ensure equipment, carts, chemicals, and supplies are stored properly.
Follow all chemical handling, safety, and sanitation procedures.
Monitor linen and terry par levels and communicate shortages or concerns.
Report equipment issues, maintenance needs, or supply concerns promptly.
Assist with linen and terry inventory counts as needed.
Assist the housekeeping team during high occupancy, staffing needs, or special projects.
Deliver clean linens and terry to guest room floors, storage areas, and housekeeping closets.
Support room refreshes, stay-over service, departures, or other housekeeping tasks when assigned.
Help maintain cleanliness and presentation of public areas and back-of-house spaces.
Work as part of the larger DHC team to support guest service and hotel operations.
Previous laundry, housekeeping, or hotel experience preferred, but not required. Training will be provided.
Strong attention to detail and commitment to cleanliness, quality, and consistency.
Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining accuracy and safety.
Reliable, punctual, and able to work independently with minimal supervision.
Positive attitude and willingness to support the team wherever needed.
Ability to stand, bend, lift, push, pull, and carry up to 50 lbs throughout the shift. Entire shift will be spent standing and moving around, performing physical duties from folding and carrying, to stocking.
Full-time position (30+ hours).
Schedule will include weekends and holidays as needed.
Work is performed primarily in the hotel laundry facility, with additional support in guest room areas, storage spaces, public areas, and back-of-house areas as needed.
