Retail Merchandise Assitant
Location: Slick Rock Clubhouse – Retail Office
Reports To: Director of Retail
Supervises: Uniform Coordination & Uniform Shop Attendants
FLSA Status: Non-Exempt
Position Summary
The Merchandise Assistant provides administrative and operational support to the Horseshoe Bay Resort buying and merchandising team. This position plays a vital role in maintaining the appearance of our retail outlets, assisting with merchandising and inventory management, and ensuring exceptional customer service.
General Duties:
- Receive, inspect, and prepare all merchandise for the sales floor
- Support inventory transfers and store replenishment
- Assist with data accuracy in POS and inventory systems
- Support merchandising and visual initiatives
- Collaborate with store managers and buying team
- Provide professional, knowledgeable service to members and guests
Employment standards:
- High school diploma required; associate degree preferred
- 1+ year of retail or administration experience
- Strong organizational and communication skills
- Proficiency in excel and POS systems
- Interest in retail buying or merchandising
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced retail environment
Working Conditions/Environment:
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds
- Flexible schedule with a willingness to work a combination of weekdays and weekends.
- Ability to utilize your personal vehicle to travel to all retail outlets on a daily basis.
- Able to sit and stand for extended periods
- Frequent bending, turning, kneeling, stooping and repetitive motion
