As a Houseperson / Public Space Attendant, you will play an important role in maintaining the cleanliness, appearance, and overall presentation of our hotel. You’ll work behind the scenes and throughout the property to ensure guest rooms, hallways, public areas, service areas, and other hotel spaces are clean, organized, and ready for our guests.

As a Houseperson / Public Space Attendant, you will:

• Clean and maintain hotel public areas, including lobbies, hallways, elevators, restrooms, stairways, and other guest-facing areas.
• Vacuum, sweep, mop, scrub, wax, and polish floors using appropriate equipment and cleaning products.
• Clean carpets, rugs, and upholstered furniture using vacuums and carpet-cleaning equipment.
• Dust, clean, and polish furniture, fixtures, metalwork, and other surfaces.
• Clean walls, ceilings, doors, windows, and other assigned areas as needed.
• Maintain cleanliness of poolside areas and other hotel service areas.
• Collect and properly dispose of trash and soiled linen throughout the property.
• Walk assigned floors at the beginning and end of each shift to collect newspapers, newspaper bags, trash, and soiled linen.
• Collect soiled linen from room attendants and deliver it to the appropriate location.
• Pick up clean linen and maintain appropriate linen par levels in floor pantries and housekeeping closets.
• Maintain and organize housekeeping carts and service areas.
• Stock room attendant closets and assist with linen organization.
• Deliver towels, cribs, cots, amenities, and other requested items to guest rooms.
• Respond promptly and courteously to guest requests and questions.
• Assist Room Attendants with guest-room cleaning and other housekeeping duties when needed.
• Report maintenance issues, damage, lost-and-found items, or other concerns to the appropriate supervisor.
• Maintain a safe, clean, and organized work environment while following hotel and department standards.
• Follow all procedures for the proper use, storage, and handling of cleaning chemicals and equipment.
• Work independently while also supporting the housekeeping TEAM and other hotel departments.
• Maintain a friendly, helpful, and professional demeanor when interacting with guests and colleagues.
• Perform additional duties and special projects as assigned by housekeeping leadership.
• Report to work in the required uniform and adhere to the hotel's dress code and appearance standards.

• Prior hotel, housekeeping, public-area, janitorial, or similar experience is preferred, but we are willing to train the right person.
• Brand hotel experience is a plus.
• Strong attention to detail and pride in maintaining a clean and welcoming environment.
• Friendly, positive attitude and excellent guest-service skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a TEAM.
• Ability to work a flexible schedule, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
• Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds.
• Ability to stand, walk, bend, stoop, push, pull, and move for extended periods.
• Ability to safely operate cleaning equipment and handle cleaning products.
• Basic English communication skills, including the ability to read and understand workplace instructions.
• Bilingual English/Spanish is a plus.

$19.00 per hour
