Job Title: F&B Storeroom Receiver - Part-Time

Department: Executive Office

Location: The Standard, High Line

Reporting to: Food and Beverage Controller

Responsible for: N/A  

Job Purpose: The Hotel Receiver is responsible for processing items from the storeroom to outlets and/or from vendor to storeroom.

Main Duties & Responsibilities:

• Manage the shipment and receipt of all products, materials, and supplies.
• Collaborate and communicate with vendors, customer service representatives, service providers, guests, employees and others involved in the shipment and receipt of products.
• Tracks, traces, and updates the status of incoming and outgoing shipments.
• Maintains a clean, neat, and member-ready area.
• Promptly unloads trucks and deliveries and sorts and stocks receivables.
• Maintains an accurate log sheet of daily moves, scanning inventory, and counting accurately.
• Engages with vendors, drivers, guests and internal customers with a positive attitude.
• Provides additional backup support for shipping and receiving departments.
• Trace and Track ETA for some shipments to ensure the delivery is on schedule.
• Monitor returns and make sure credits are applied.
• Refuse acceptance of damaged, unacceptable or incorrect items.
• Help bringing back and forth of any items from Mini-Storage to the hotel and vice-versa.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
• Organizational Skills: Work efficiently, utilize multi-tasking, prioritize tasks.
• Responsibility: Personal comportment in line with Standard, New York policies, standards, and expectations.
• Meticulous attention to detail and eye for accuracy.

Essential:

• Ability to read, comprehend and carry out instructions, bilingual is desired but not required.
• Have at least 2 years prior experience in similar position.
• Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed but uninvolved written or oral instructions.
• Ability to add and subtract two digit numbers and to multiply and divide with 10's and 100's.  Ability to perform these operations using units of American money and weight measurement, volume, and distance.
• Ability to deal with problems involving a few concrete variables in standardized situations.
• Have organizational skills.
• Have sanitation skills.
• Must have Open Availability to be considered.
• Level of experience in a high volume, high end hotel is recommended but not required.

Physical Requirements:

• Move, lift, carry, push, pull, and place objects weighing less than or equal to 50 lb. without assistance.
• Requires grasping, writing, standing, sitting, walking, repetitive motions, bending, climbing, listening and hearing ability and visual acuity.
• Stand, sit, or walk for an extended period of time or for an entire work shift.
• Reach overhead and below the knees, including bending, twisting, pulling, and stooping.
• Remain in stationary position for extended periods of time.
• Work with sharp objects in a safe manner.
• Will be exposed to hot and cold temperature extremes.

• $26.00 per hour
