Front Desk Supervisor

Position Description:

• Supervisor of reservations office, merchandise, rental shop and Guest Services team

• Detail organization of reservations for a 140 bed Sierra Club lodge

• Active communication with GM and Asst. GM and lodge staff regarding day-to-day reservations

• Maintain thorough knowledge of the property, types of accommodations, rental operations, group plans and the facilities as a whole

• Willing and able to assist in multiple roles of the lodge (cleaning, maintenance, mail delivery, etc.)

• Lead, train and supervise employees in the guest services role

• Display a pro-active and leading role in terms of service, culture, development, team image, systems, procedures and skill development

• Take reservations using the reservation system, ensuring high levels of guest service, satisfaction and clarity

• Drive sales and marketing in an effort to grow the business

• Prepare complex group contracts and reservations in conjunction with upper management

• Check guests in and out, including preparation of guests bills and confirming payment

• Efficiently handle day-to-day billing as well as large group and extended stay reservations

• Handle cash and banking transactions from multiple revenue sources in an organized way

• Anticipate and intervene in all incidents of guest dissatisfaction and work diligently to rectify all issues, in accordance with company policy

Qualifications:

• Must be at least 18 years of age (21 years of age to drive on site vehicles)

• Possess valid driver’s license

• Strong working knowledge of Microsoft and Outlook operating systems a must

• Available to work weekends, nights and holidays

• Experience with reservation systems is a plus

• Experience with WebRezPro a huge plus

• Friendly and courteous

• Possesses genuine concern for guest experience and comfortable with frequent interaction with the public

• Able to move actively for extended periods of time

• Able to prioritize and work in a fast-paced environment

• Able to give direction and work in a team environment, as well as work unsupervised
