Legion Lake Lodge at Custer State Park Resort

Named for the American Legion Post that once leased the land, Legion Lake is a quiet lakeside retreat. It’s perfect for summer picnics, lazy days at the beach, and treks into the wild beyond.

You can fish, boat, and swim at Legion Lake, or rent a variety of watercraft vehicles. You can also pick up fishing licenses, park passes, and all the supplies you might need at the Legion Lake General Store.

Several hiking trails are nearby, including the Centennial Trail and the Badger Clark Historic Trail—and a one-mile trail circles the lake.
