The Opportunity 

Delaware North is hiring a Database Marketing Corporate Director to join our team in Buffalo, New York. As the Director of Database Marketing, you will oversee all aspects of the Direct Marketing and Database program. Lead, execute, and manage the direct response plan in support of Delaware North Gaming Properties. Oversee project scheduling, tracking and quality assurance; content creation and editing; provide art direction, contribute new ideas, and route material between internal key stakeholders and external vendors.

Pay

Minimum – Anticipated Maximum Base Salary: $104100 - $140500 / year

In addition to base salary, we offer an annual bonus plan based on company and individual performance, or a role-based, uncapped sales incentive plan. Responsibilities 

• Responsible for all aspects of print and direct mail production, purchasing, data management, and execution including recommending formats, improving processes, and providing regular updates to stakeholders. • Direct and maintain Direct Response production schedule and project management scheduling.• Oversee the direct response internal processes, ensuring accurate execution of annual, monthly, and weekly direct marketing projects, communicating with content, creative, data, production teams and our partner agencies.• Work with internal stakeholders as well as external vendors to create and edit content for direct marketing projects to optimize controls and develop new package tests – and obtain all program approvals.• Assist with content creation and review across other channels ensuring messaging consistency.• Liaison between internal stakeholders, agencies and suppliers to ensure quality, on-time delivery within budget parameters• Gather job requirements and perform procurement and project management of direct mail campaigns with understanding of marketing objectives• Data segmentation, list manipulation, and instructions for complex direct mail campaigns• Project quoting and procurement of print and direct mail projects (ad hoc and programmatic), including postage optimization responsibilities• Advise on economic formats, working with internal stakeholders and agencies to derive cost efficiencies for direct mail projects• Analyze job revenue, cost and profitability; communicate with client and Corporate Director of Marketing to validate budgets• Manage job production, delivery and invoicing, and proactively present production solutions• Review and provide feedback for art and proofs both internally and from partner agencies, ensuring brand standards.• Report on conversion metrics from direct and email marketing efforts. • Contribute ideas to testing discussions and thematic planning.• Exceptional organizational, interpersonal and communication skills.• Promote and support a strong development culture of harmony and professionalism.• Make improvements to templates/processes and create new tools and processes in support of business needs• Working with peers within and across marketing teams to ensure collaboration and best practice sharing across properties• Provides guidance to the teams on segmentation, testing, and communication strategies

Qualifications 

• Bachelor’s degree in Marketing or related field required; MBA preferred• Minimum five years of experience in a marketing leadership position• Direct Mail and Email experience preferred.• Strong communication and organizational skills• Creative, innovative problem-solving skills• Ability to develop working relationships with peers and coordinate activities with operating departments.• Ability to uphold and demonstrate the highest level of integrity in all situations and recognize standards required by a regulated business.• Ability to work in a diverse, fast-paced, deadline-driven environment; capable of coordinating multiple projects simultaneously, prioritizing and flexing to accommodate last minute requests and changes
