The Opportunity 

Delaware North is hiring a Quality Control Automation Engineer to join our team in Buffalo, New York.  The Engineer provides efficient and effective IT service and problem resolution. This role is responsible for ensuring the quality standards established by Delaware North are being delivered to the business. Daily tasks may include documenting the testing, data, and deliverables needed to effectively implement a strong product. Also, writing test automation code, reporting results, documentation of applications, communications with stakeholders, and providing status updates to the team.

Pay

Minimum – Anticipated Maximum Base Salary: $68300 - $92200 / year

In addition to base salary, we offer an annual bonus plan based on company and individual performance, or a role-based, uncapped sales incentive plan. The advertised pay range represents what we believe at the time of this job posting, that we would be willing to pay for this position. Only in special circumstances, where a candidate has education, training, or experience that far exceeds the requirements for the position, would we consider paying higher than the stated range. Responsibilities 

  • • Ensuring quality solutions are delivered to the business.• Technical ownership of the testing environment, lab, and automation platforms.• Follow best practice testing and routines for lab environment to ensure Quality Standards set by the business are delivered properly.• Develop metrics and calibration for testing new versions and applications.• Plan and implement testing (e.g., regression, functional, data validation, system integration, load, or performance tests) for new and existing functionality.• Document results of testing and quality reviews.• Plan, create, execute, and automate test cases.• Document and analyze test results and recommend corrective action. • Isolate, reproduce, manage defects and test case databases, and verify fixes.• Support user acceptance testing conducted by business partners or end users.• Conduct exploratory testing for complex features, e.g., those that span across platforms or teams.• Identify opportunities to reduce testing time and effort by automating repeatable tests or by applying risk-based testing approaches.• Understand and apply automated testing approaches such as model-based testing or record-and-replay. • Research, recommend, and implement new testing technologies and practices, such as incorporating machine learning. • Attention to detail and ability to identify, isolate and document defects.• Detailed tracking of defects so they can be properly reproduced, tracked, logged, and reported on.• Effective verbal and written communication skills for both technical and non-technical audiences.• Collaboration skills and ability to work on a team.• Willingness to mentor fellow team members on best practices, project/testing approaches, and automation methods.• Adaptability, flexibility, and willingness to learn. • Comply and enforce IT and Company-wide policies and procedures.

Qualifications 

  • Minimum 5 years of relevant work experience
  • Experience writing test automation scripts.
  • API and data management tools like Postman and Python
  • Experience and working knowledge with SQL, including data validation concepts.
  • Experience with test automation frameworks, such as Robot Framework, Selenium, and Cucumber.
  • Proven ability to work with diverse stakeholders, manage competing agendas and priorities, and translate complex information across internal and external audiences
  • Experience designing and implementing test plans
  • Experience with test management tools (e.g., ServiceNow, UIpath)
  • Experience with test automation frameworks
  • Experience with application performance monitoring and observability tools
  • Experience in a collaborative work environment
  • Strong emphasis and exposure to Information Security
  • Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills
  • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal
  • Strong organizational skills
  • Strong customer focus
  • Must be legally authorized to work in the US without sponsorship
