Chief Engineer

Be part of an amazing TEAM. The Westin Great Southern Columbus currently seeks an experienced Chief Engineer for an immediate opportunity.

General Duties and Responsibilities

• Assist with the annual budget and CAPEX plan for the department/hotel.
• Oversee total asset maintenance management and repair.
• Oversee staff training, development and performance.
• Develop and implement the Preventive Maintenance programs as required.
• Engineering contractors’ selection and documentation.
• Annual testing and conformance of emergency power systems.

Successful candidates will possess the following skills and expertise:

• A minimum of 2 years in engineering management or supervision in the hotel environment
• Must be detail oriented, with solid organizational skills.
• Must be physically able to meet the demands of the job including walking or standing for extended periods of time while on shift; lift/push/pull/carry 50+/- lbs.; must be able to work in varied work climates including outdoor, coolers, freezers, etc. when needed.
