Waldorf Astoria is looking for anIn-Room Dining Order Taker/ Server to join the Food and Beverage Team at this gorgeous Atlanta property!

Located in one of Atlanta's most prestigious neighborhoods, this 42-story tower has over 200 rooms (127 guest rooms plus residences), over 10,000 square feet of meeting space, and 3 food and beverage outlets. This includes the 3-meal restaurant, bar, and in-room dining.

  • Classification: Full-Time
  • Shift: AM and PM - must have availability to work weekdays, weekends, and holidays.

What will I be doing?

As an In-Room Dining Order Taker / Server, you would be responsible for delivering and serving food and beverage items to guests in a timely, friendly and efficient manner in the hotel's continuing effort to deliver outstanding guest service and financial profitability. Specifically, this includes but is not limited to:

  • Answer guest telephone requests for breakfast, lunch, dinner and overnight orders
  • Arrange amenity assignments and deliveries
  • Update guests' preferences
  • Organize the office and assist the In-Room Dining team members in daily operations
  • Provide excellent service at all times to all of our guests
  • Make sure that all silver and glasses are wiped and spotless
  • Mark tables appropriately to food order for each course
  • Set up tables according to Speed sheet or coordinators instructions
  • Anticipate guest needs, as to where guests will never have to ask for anything
  • Delivery of guest orders using a cart and / or a tray
  • Frequently walksthe floors to retrieve trays and tables from corridors and rooms
  • Empty dirty dishes to dishwasher area, change soiled linen
  • Possess extensive knowledge of food and beverage in order to assist guests with suggestions and up sell our products, including liquors and cocktails
  • Open and close checks correctly and make sure that reports match correctly by the end of the shift
  • Communicate effectively with servers and chefs on special orders
  • Check on daily amenities ordering, assigning of rooms, deliveries and charges
  • Responsible of entering financial information into a excel sheet and order log
  • Deliver all checks and report to the appropriate place at the end of a shift according to rules
  • Perform side work duties
