Job Overview:
We are seeking a skilled and experienced Head Chef to join our team. As a Head Chef, you will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of food preparation, menu planning, and inventory control. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in catering and food service management, with exceptional leadership and culinary skills.
Responsibilities:
- Plan and execute menus for various events and occasions, ensuring a diverse and appealing selection of dishes
- Manage inventory levels to ensure adequate supplies for daily operations
- Oversee food preparation and cooking processes to maintain quality and consistency
- Monitor food production to meet customer demand while minimizing waste
- Train and supervise kitchen staff, providing guidance and support as needed
- Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations in the kitchen area
- Collaborate with other departments to coordinate catering services for special events
- Maintain cleanliness and organization in the kitchen area
Qualifications:
- Previous experience in catering, menu planning, and food service management
- Strong knowledge of food preparation techniques and culinary principles
- Excellent leadership skills, with the ability to motivate and guide a team
- Strong organizational skills, with the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously
- Attention to detail and a commitment to delivering high-quality food products
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing priorities
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
