Job Overview

Direct the complete spectrum of human resources activities, from recruiting to retention, wage and benefit administration, and compliance with all pertinent laws and regulations. This role demands a keen negotiator familiar with the nuances of labor relations in a unionized environment. With a starting salary of $90K, this position reports directly to the General Manager and offers a pivotal role in shaping our workplace culture.

Essential Job Functions

  1. Lead recruiting efforts to ensure the hiring of competent team members and manage compliance with our established hiring practices.
  2. Perform annual wage surveys and ensure adherence to relevant wage and hour laws.
  3. Administer all required training programs and support managers in team member development.
  4. Oversee performance evaluations, ensuring timely and fair merit increases.
  5. Promote and enforce Crescent’s safety and health standards across all departments.
  6. Handle benefits coordination, FMLA processes, and the accurate processing of payroll.
  7. Champion positive employee relations and manage all aspects of labor relations, including contract negotiations and grievance resolutions.

Job Requirements

  • Minimum of 5 years' experience in a senior HR role with a bachelor’s degree in human resources or a related field. Advanced certifications like SPHR, SHRM-CP, or SHRM-SCP preferred.
  • Strong expertise in employment laws and labor relations mandatory.
  • Experience with UKG/UltiPro systems is a plus.
  • Proven payroll processing capabilities.
  • Excellent interpersonal, communication, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, luxury hospitality environment.
  • Proficiency in English is essential.
