Position Overview:The Catering Sales Manager is responsible for driving catering revenue through the solicitation, planning, and coordination of events. Reporting directly to the Director of Catering, this position plays a key role in establishing and maintaining client relationships, ensuring each event reflects the Hotel Phoenix standard of excellence.

Responsibilities:

  • Solicit, negotiate, and confirm catering and event business to achieve revenue goals.
  • Partner closely with the Director of Catering and the hotel’s culinary and banquet teams to ensure seamless event execution.
  • Prepare detailed proposals, contracts, and banquet event orders (BEOs).
  • Conduct site visits, tastings, and pre-event meetings with clients.
  • Maintain accurate client records and manage all correspondence in the sales system.
  • Identify and pursue new business opportunities through networking and market research.
  • Monitor industry trends and competitor activities to stay ahead of the market.

Qualifications:

  • Minimum 5 years of catering or event sales experience in a hotel, resort, or hospitality environment.
  • Strong knowledge of food, beverage, and event coordination.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and organizational skills.
  • Proficiency in Delphi, Opera, or comparable sales software preferred.
  • Ability to work a flexible schedule, including evenings and weekends, as business requires.
