Banquets Bartender

Job overview

As a Banquets Bartender, you will fill a guest services role in supporting your hotel’s financial goals of the daily operation of the banquet facilities and/or other areas of the Food and Beverage departments. You will provide prompt and courteous beverage service to banquet guests during banquet/ catering functions to ensure the highest quality of product and service standards to ensure guest satisfaction and maximize revenues and profitability.

The ideal candidate will: 

• Have a combination of education, training or experience that provides the required knowledge, skills and abilities. Bartending experience is required.
• Be incredibly friendly, customer centric, and radiate a positive and accommodating attitude while interacting with customers.
• Have basic mathematical skills necessary to operate a cash register, make change, total guest checks, count total bank, prepare cash drops, total all other charges, and understand portion sizes
• Performs pre- and post-shift side work; set-up, condiments, etc.
• Have sufficient manual dexterity in hands in order to use a knife to make garnish, pick up glassware and bottles, scoop ice, mix drinks, and reach overhead to retrieve stock.
• Clears table after service. Removes trays of dirty dishes, silverware and glassware to kitchen for cleaning.
• Clears room at end of banquet of all props and centerpieces and properly returns to storage.
• Responds quickly to guest requests in a friendly manner. Follows up to ensure guest satisfaction.
• Ability to operate a keyboard and point of sale procedures to pre-check an order and close out a check.
• Provides a professional image at all times through appearance and dress.
