The Assistant Director of Accounting supports the hotel’s accounting and internal control functions while ensuring timely and accurate reporting of operating results and maintaining the integrity of the management information system for Omni Hilton Head.

• Supervise all accounting functions.
• Assistwith billing and customer service functions
• Assist with management of accounts receivable in order to maximize cash flow.
• Assistwith incomeauditto ensure accuracy of revenue reporting.
• Responsible fortraining ofstaff for job duties to include the following positions: AccountsPayable, General Cashier, Income Audit, Payroll and Accounts Receivable.
• Partner with the Shared Service Center onvarious functions including, but not limitedto,Accounts Payable, Income Audit, Commission and Balance Sheet Reconciliations.
• Assist withPreparingthe financial statements within the timeframessupplies in theCorporateclosing schedule and according to the Omni Policies and Procedures, Generally Accepted AccountingPrinciplesand the Uniform System of Accounts.
• Partner with the Shared Service Centerand Assistant Director of Financeto review balance sheet analysis on a monthly basis with full supporting detail.
• Prepare timely and accurate sales, use and occupancy tax returns as well as any other external reports or returns as deemed necessary.
• Ensure successfultreasurycash management asset forth inthe policies and procedures manual.
• Work closely with all departments tocome up withsolutions to Systems & Controls problems in these areas.
• Ensure integrity and efficiency of computerized data processing functions.
• Assist withEnsure that all financial reports, budgets, forecasts, and other information required by Omni are accurately compiled andsubmittedwithin the specified time limits,identifying

Qualifications:

• Preferexperiencein the hospitality industry, or participation in the Omni LID program.
• Previousleadership experience preferred.
• Previousexperience in a shared service environment is a plus,
• Candidate must have proven leadership skills and must be able to direct,developand motivate staff
• Ability to computeaccuratemathematical calculations
• Must beservice and detailoriented,possessinga friendly approachable demeanor and strong problem-solving skills, with a keen eye for detail
• Ability to work cohesively with co-workers both within and outside of your department
• Ability to think clearly, quickly and make concise decisions
• Strong organizational skills with the ability to multi-task and provide guest follow up in afast-pacedenvironment.

• Ability to clearly and pleasantly communicate both verbally and in writing in English with guests, management and co-workers, both in person and by telephone.
