The Ponte Vedra Inn & Club is looking for individuals with upscale retail experience. These individuals will provide exceptional, unparalleled 5-Diamond customer service to the Resort Guest, the Private Club Member, and to individuals who require oceanfront excellence as their shopping backdrop.

EDUCATION: High school diploma or equivalent. Ability to speak, read, write, and comprehend the English language at a level sufficient to communicate effectively with staff.

TRAINING & EXPERIENCE: Two years of retail and customer service experience. Experience with retail merchandising, inventory control, and knowledge of point-of-sale system.

JOB KNOWLEDGEKnowledge of day-to-day operations of retail outlets. Ability to manage member, guest and employee relations in absence of manager.

JOB SUMMARY: Assist in directing day to day operations of retail outlets ensuring that the finest level of service and highest quality product is provided for our members and guests. Assist in merchandising and displaying of merchandise, inventory control and store promotions. Assist with training employees and maintaining five diamond standards.

PHYSICAL ABILITIES: Effectively communicate with members and guests. Must be able to move about store and surrounding areas ensuring that top quality appearance and service is delivered. Capable of light stock work including lifting merchandise up to 35 lbs.

DUTIES AND FUNCTIONS

1. Must be able to work a flexible schedule, to include weekends, holidays and split shifts.
2. Arrive to work on time, consistently.
3. Upon entering the property, arrive in proper uniform, crisp, clean and in good repair.
4. Must set proper example in personal appearance, including dress and personal hygiene.
5. Assist in directing day to day operations of retail outlets.
6. Monitor retail sales floor – ensure that all guests are being greeted, helped and maintaining five diamond customer service standards.
7. Greet members and guests by name whenever possible.
8. Maintain a positive member/guest relations without forgoing proper policies and procedures.
9. Balance each day’s business.
10. Assist with placing special orders.
11. Assist with ticketing and placing of merchandise in store.
12. Assist with displaying merchandise and maintaining five diamond visual standards.
13. Assist with maintaining stock levels.
14. Assist with training of employees and maintaining five diamond customer service standards with staff.
15. Assist with relaying day to day information to staff.
16. Assist with any special shop promotions.
17. Assist with quarterly inventories.
18. Keep up to date with fashion trends.
19. Keep current with competition.
20. Attend all training classes.
21. Report any safety hazards, follow up that hazard has been corrected and assist with providing a safe work environment.
