$50,000- $82,500Responsible for managing the entire activity of the grocery store, ensure profitable operation of all departments in the store and implements Corporate Commission merchandising and inventory programs. Schedules workloads; hires and trains store personnel; and resolve all store personnel issues in accordance to company policy and Human Resource guidelines.MEETING PERFORMANCE EXPECTATIONS:To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. Responsible for the efficient, profitable and safe operation of the store within limits of and in accordance with applicable Federal, State, and Tribal Laws and Regulations, and for creating a favorable community image through civic participation.
Responsible for the execution of Retail initiatives and achievement of store sales, profit and expense goals.
Implements Guest Service Program to the fullest extent possible.
Organizes, supervises and coordinates the work of the store.
Responsible for the development and leadership of store associates.
Supervises total store operation to ensure desired quality, variety, displaying and accurate pricing. Ensures good housekeeping and sanitation.
Responsible for the implementation of all Corporate Retail policies, and procedures to ensure preventative sanitation and to maintain the required standard of sanitation.
Prepares quarterly and yearly budgets with supervisor. Maintains constant follow-up to assure budget sales, gross profit and controllable expense goals are being achieved.
Support Corporate programs, advertised and in-store promotions.
Monitors competition regularly for pricing, variety, quality and merchandising.
Directs and assists in the training, development and appraisal of store associates.
Recruits, hires and terminates for cause part-time and full-time associates. Consults with District Manager and Human Resource Manager concerning issues with department managers. Assists in the recruitment and selection of store department managers.
Recommends and counsels on promotions, demotions and transfers of store personnel.Implements and maintains work schedules, labor control and store payroll expense control programs. Approves all work schedules weekly.
Follows scheduled store and department inventories and works to stay within budget.
Schedules and directs store inventories and manages overall inventory controls, including Shrink Awareness.
Implements and maintains community and customer service programs.
Implements and maintains associate relations and benefits programs.
Monitors dress code for all associates
Maintains accurate records required by management. Initiates and prepares forms required.
Establishes schedules to ensure good housekeeping practices and proper maintenance of equipment and facilities, both in-store and external premises, and makes appropriate recommendations.
Handles all other projects and duties as assigned.EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE:
Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration preferred.
Must have five (5) years prior experience as grocery store manager, or assistant store manager.
Must have three (3) years prior experience in developing, implementing, and evaluating grocery store marketing programs.
Must also have five (5) years progressive supervisory experience in a grocery store.
Must have two (2) year sub-department management experience.SPECIAL QUALIFICATIONS:
Must have extensive POS systems knowledge for a grocery store.
Must have working knowledge of health and safety standards to operate a grocery store.
Must be computer literate in Microsoft applications.
Must be able to pass background check.
Must possess excellent written, analytical, and oral communication skills.
Must be Serv-Safe Certified within six (6) month of employment.
Must have knowledge and experience in analyzing profit/loss statements and balance sheets, and knowledge and experience in maintaining real-time inventory at cost.

Ability to read.
Analyze and interpret complicated documents, such as technical journals, financial reports, and legal documents.
Ability to respond to common inquiries or complaints from guests, regulatory agencies, or members of the business community.

Must be able to add, subtract, multiply and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, percentages, common fractions, and decimals.REASONING ABILITY:

Ability to interpret an extensive variety of technical instructions in mathematical or diagram form and deal with several abstract and concrete variables.TRAVEL:Travel for training seminars required. Travel not expected to exceed 25%.PHYSICAL DEMANDS:
