Description

Upon being hired for this position, you will enter a Probationary status, working up to 40 hours per week.

Upon completion of the probationary period, you could become benefit eligible.

Essential Duties:

  • Greet and welcome guests with five-star hospitality and courtesy standards.
  • Oversees seating/server rotation when seating guests.
  • Verifies and makes reservations via open table.
  • Maintains a waiting list when necessary.
  • Performs other duties as required to exceed guests’ expectations in a five-star dining environment.

Requirements:

  • 6 months to one year of food service or restaurant experience.
  • Previous host/hostess and open table experience in a five-star restaurant is a plus.
  • Demonstrated excellent public contact skills
  • Must be available to work all shifts including days, nights, weekends, and holidays
  • Ability to: (1) interact effectively with guests, employees and supervisors; (2) maintain standards listed below
  • In accordance with child labor laws, applicants must be 16 years of age in order to work various schedules

  • Maintain an upbeat attitude and a positive, enthusiastic mindset.
  • Greet guests, employees, managers, and supervisors with a warm smile and friendly demeanor.
  • Always treat everyone with respect and work cooperatively with colleagues and management.
  • Arrive on time to work and as scheduled.
  • Adhere to established uniform and appearance policies.

Perform assigned tasks accurately and on time.

Physical requirements include, but are not limited to:

  • Lifting and carrying up to 35 pounds
  • Working while standing for long periods of time

This is a non-exempt position, eligible to receive overtime in accordance with the Fair Labor Standards Act (FLSA). This position may be subject to overtime during high peak times, etc. as directed and approved by the supervisor.
