The opportunity

Delaware North Parks and Resorts is hiring full-time Retail Supervisors to join our team at Kennedy Space Center in Merritt Island, Florida. As a Retail Supervisor, you will be responsible for supervising and training retail team members and working to maintain retail standards, policies, and procedures. What will you do?

  • Supervise and train retail associates and work to maintain retail standards, policies, and procedures.
  • Open and close retail locations as directed by management.
  • Assist retail management with the daily non-cash procedures and operations.
  • Monitor store floor, assist with guests’ needs and requests.
  • Regularly evaluate, create, and maintain professional visual displays; provide direction to retail associates regarding store merchandising and displays.
  • Ensure integrity of physical inventory and par levels.
  • Maintain cleanliness and safety standards throughout the retail shops.
  • Drive a company vehicle as needed. 
  • Performs duties as assigned.

More about you

  • Minimum 1 year supervisory experience in a customer service or retail environment preferred.
  • Previous credit card handling experience required.
  • Previous experience working with point of sale (POS) system required.
  • High school diploma or GED required.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Strong time management and organizational skills; ability to direct the work activities of several associates simultaneously and plan ahead.
  • Ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously in fast-paced environment.
  • Must have a valid driver’s license and reliable transportation to and from work.
  • Familiar with Microsoft Office products preferred. 

Physical requirements

  • Ability to lift and carry up to 50 lbs.
  • Constant standing, lifting, climbing stairs, and repetitive motions.
  • Bending, reaching, climbing on ladders.
