First Shift

First impressions are everything! As the Housekeeping Manager with Graves Hospitality you have the opportunity to create lasting memories for every guest, ensuring public spaces and guest rooms are comfortable, inviting and clean.  The luxury our guests experience will ensure their return.

As Housekeeping Manager, you will

  • Recruit, Train, and Develop staff within the department.
  • Schedule Staff and Complete Payroll. 
  • Order Supplies and complete monthly inventories.
  • Ensure all necessary equipment is available to staff. 
  • Inspect guest rooms to ensure the highest standards of cleanliness. 
  • Clean, dust, polish and vacuum to make sure public spaces and bathrooms meet hotel standards.
  • Change linens, make beds, and leave the bathroom sparkling in guestrooms.
  • Restock all necessary supplies. Such as:  soap, paper towels, pool towels, etc.
  • Run various machines, including, but not limited to: Commercial Laundry machines, carpet extractors, Commercial dishwashers, etc.
  • Organize your linen closet, restock your cart, and get ready for the next day, before your shift ends each day.
  • Greet guests that you encounter during your shift with a friendly smile.

To be successful in this role, you need to be a proficient communicator.  This job requires continuous movement, regularly bending, lifting, pushing, pulling, carrying, and moving up to 25-30 pounds. You will also lift or move up to 50 pounds occasionally. You must also be able to stand and walk for an entire shift and perform repetitive motions.
