The Floor Technician is responsible for maintaining the cleanliness, appearance, and overall condition of all floors throughout the hotel. This role ensures that all carpeted, tiled, wood, and specialty flooring surfaces are cleaned, maintained, and treated according to hotel standards. The Floor Technician plays a vital role in creating a clean, safe, and welcoming environment for guests and team members.

• Clean, maintain, and restore all types of flooring surfaces including carpet, tile, wood, marble, vinyl, and concrete.

• Operate and maintain floor care equipment such as buffers, extractors, burnishers, and auto scrubbers.

• Perform routine carpet cleaning, spot removal, and carpet extraction.

• Strip, seal, wax, and buff floors as needed to maintain a polished appearance.

• Inspect floors regularly and report any damage, safety hazards, or repair needs to the Housekeeping leadership team.

• Ensure all floor care equipment is stored properly and kept in good working condition.

• Follow proper chemical handling procedures and maintain safety compliance at all times.

• Assist with deep cleaning projects and special cleaning assignments as required.

• Collaborate with the Housekeeping team to maintain cleanliness in public areas, guest corridors, and back-of-house areas.

• Uphold all safety, sanitation, and hotel standards consistently.

• Previous floor care or janitorial experience preferred, especially in a hospitality or commercial setting.

• Knowledge of floor care equipment and various cleaning chemicals.

• Ability to lift, push, and pull heavy equipment and furniture as needed.

• Strong attention to detail and a commitment to cleanliness and safety.

• Ability to work independently and manage time effectively.

• Flexible schedule availability, including nights, weekends, and holidays as needed.

• Ability to stand, walk, bend, and kneel for extended periods.

• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.

• Ability to operate floor equipment safely and effectively.
