STATUS: Exempt
ANTICIPATED SHIFT: Minimum of 45 hrs/ Wk
UNIFORM: Designated Engineering Uniform.
JOB SUMMARY: The Chief Engineer is responsible for the general maintenance and upkeep of the entire property, specialty projects, and preventative maintenance of guest rooms and equipment with a proficiency in electrical, HVAC, carpentry, and plumbing.

Manage preventative maintenance of all equipment
Manage preventative maintenance of all guest rooms and public areas
Approve payroll hours and manage labor based on hotel needs
Complete weekly schedule for engineers based off projects and occupancy levels
Manage Transcendent usage and utilization
Be present during emergency situations
Maintain a tool and equipment inventory and par level
Ensure all team members are trained on appropriate equipment
Manage service contracts i.e. pest control, waste, landscaping, grease trap
Oversee guest maintenance calls to ensure engineers follow core standards
Participate in daily, weekly, and monthly property meetings
Complete quarterly and annual evaluations of team members
Perform coaching and discipline as needed.
