The opportunity

Delaware North Gaming is hiring a part-time Paramedic to join our team at Finger Lakes Gaming in Farmington, New York. As a Paramedic, you will be responsible for providing advanced emergency medical care for critical and emergent patients who access the emergency medical system. $30.00 – $30.00 / hour

What will you do?

  • Function as part of a coordinated EMS response under medical oversight while following departmental policies and objectives 
  • Perform patient assessments for illness or injury, prepare patients for transport, and transfer care information to receiving ambulance providers 
  • Deliver medical interventions using basic and advanced ambulance equipment as appropriate to the situation 
  • Maintain patient, environmental, and infection control safety standards during all phases of care 
  • Inspect emergency medical equipment to confirm readiness and compliance with safety and infection control requirements 
  • Complete, document, and transfer all patient care records, reports, and paperwork in compliance with state, federal, and HIPAA regulations 
  • Operate motorized vehicle when necessary

More about you

  • High school diploma or GED required 
  • Must be 18 years of age or older 
  • Valid EMT-P certification from the New York State Department of Health is required 
  • Ability to be licensed by the New York State Lottery and New York State Racing and Wagering 
  • Complex knowledge and skills necessary to provide patient care and transportation required  
  • Must have a valid driver’s license, pass an MVR check, and take a drug test
