What You Will Be Doing
Reporting to the Revenue Manager, the Assistant Reservations Manager assists with overseeing all aspects of the reservations department, ensuring efficient operations and delivering unparalleled service to our guests. Duties include:
- Coordinate, assign and review the work of accommodation services, and reservation agents ensuring efficient operations and delivering unparalleled service to our guests.
- Oversee the reservation process from initial inquiry to booking confirmation, ensuring accuracy and efficiency in accordance with market demand to make data-driven decisions.
- Handle guest inquiries, special requests, complaints including compensation, in a professional and timely manner.
- Establish work schedules, procedures, and coordinate activities of the reservation department with Front Office, Sales, and Revenue Management to optimize guest satisfaction and revenue opportunities.
- Resolve work-related problems and prepare and submit progress and other reports
- Hire, train and mentor reservation staff in job duties, safety procedures and company policies to provide exceptional service and uphold brand standards.
- Become proficient in Hyatt computer platforms, such as Central Reservations system, Rate Management tool, IDeaS Revenue Management, Opera-PMS as well as in Microsoft Office Suite.
- Responsible for loading and maintaining rates, packages and tracking codes in the Property Management system.
- Support hotel's revenue maximization efforts by preparing reports and analyzing data.
What You Will Need
- Minimum two years experience in hotel reservations/front desk experience is required
- Ideally a Degree in Hospitality Management
- Experience with IDeaS Revenue Management system would be an asset
- Fluent in English is required. Excellent service skills including etiquette and ability to work with the public including diverse clientele.
- Excellent communications skills, organization skills and time management required.
- Ability to work well under pressure and handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed.
