Hotel Assistant General Manager

We are seeking an Assistant GM with a passion for service that is genuinely invested in the overall operation and success of the hotel. This position will oversee all departments, with direct responsibility for housekeeping and maintenance, and will ensure the hotel is continually set up for success by maintaining adequate inventory of supplies and appropriate staffing levels.  The ideal candidate understands the flow of hotel operations and loves to achieve revenue, occupancy, and profitability goals.  In addition to these contributions, the Assistant GM is an integral part of making the Hampton Inn Santa Cruz the best place to work by fostering a welcoming spirit of hospitality and embracing our core values of integrity and teamwork, while having a lot of FUN along the way!

This position reports directly to the General Manager, serving as manager on duty; the working schedule regularly includes weekends and holidays. 

Qualifications and Requirements:

• Previous hotel supervisory experience is required
• Ability to work weekends and holidays a must
• Bilingual in Spanish a plus
• Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
• Proven track record of positive interpersonal relationships with internal and external customers
• Good computer skills, familiarity with internet usage, and good typing skills
• Computational and mathematical ability, with cash handling experience recommended
