Housekeeping Manager | Cambria Hotel Times Square – NYC

Position Summary

The Housekeeping Manager is responsible for overseeing the daily operations of the Housekeeping and Public Area teams. This leader ensures all guest rooms, suites, and public spaces meet or exceed Cambria cleanliness and presentation standards while driving operational efficiency and team engagement. The Housekeeping Manager reports directly to the Director of Housekeeping. 

The ideal candidate is highly organized, hands-on, and passionate about delivering exceptional guest experiences through attention to detail and strong leadership.


Qualifications

  • Minimum of 3 years of hospitality experience, including at least 2 years in a supervisory role.

  • High school diploma or equivalent required; associate or bachelor’s degree in hospitality management or related field preferred.

  • Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and hotel management systems.

  • Ability to multitask, prioritize, and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.

  • Professional demeanor with a strong commitment to guest service excellence.

Grooming & Appearance

All Team Members must maintain a neat, clean, and professional appearance in accordance with Cambria grooming standards.

Key Responsibilities

Operational Leadership

  • Oversee daily housekeeping operations, including room assignments, inspections, and productivity standards.

  • Ensure guest rooms and public areas consistently meet Choice brand cleanliness standards.

  • Conduct regular room and public space inspections to maintain quality assurance.

  • Monitor inventory levels of linens, amenities, and cleaning supplies; coordinate ordering as needed.

  • Ensure compliance with safety, sanitation, and OSHA guidelines.

  • Collaborate with Front Office and Engineering to ensure timely room availability and maintenance follow-up.

Guest Experience

  • Address and resolve guest concerns in a professional and timely manner.

  • Ensure service recovery follows Choice standards and reinforces guest loyalty.

  • Promote a culture of genuine hospitality and personalized service.

Team Leadership & Development

  • Foster a collaborative and inclusive team culture.

  • Promote open communication across departments.
