Location: We are seeking an experienced Director of Banquets for the Colorado Convention Center located in Denver, CO.
Job Overview:
The Director of Banquets is responsible for overseeing all banquet operations within the Colorado Convention Center. This role involves managing banquet events from planning through execution, ensuring exceptional service, and coordinating with various departments to provide a seamless guest experience. The Director of Banquets will lead a team, develop strategies for event success, and maintain high standards of service and operational efficiency.

Opened in 1990, with more than 100 professional meeting planners working together with architects to design every aspect of the building, the result was simple; a sensible, state-of-the-art facility with easy traffic flow to a stunningly beautiful building in the heart of downtown Denver. Expanded in 2005, with another expansion coming online in January 2024, the Colorado Convention Center is well known as one of the most practical and “user-friendly” meeting facilities in the country. The Colorado Convention Center is located within easy walking distance of nearly 13,000 hotel rooms, 300 restaurants, nine theatres in the Denver Performing Arts Complex, and a wide variety of shopping and retail outlets.
On November 3, 2015, Denver voters overwhelmingly approved a major expansion of the Colorado Convention Center. The new expansion will include many new features that will make the Center the most high-tech, user-friendly meeting and event space in the nation.
