Blossom Hotel Houston is an architecturally striking, internationally inspired luxury property positioned in one of the city’s fastest-growing and most dynamic districts. We are seeking a visionary and commercially driven General Manager who is energized by the opportunity to reinvent, reposition, and elevate a luxury asset. This leader will play a critical role in refining the hotel’s identity, strengthening its market presence, enhancing operational performance, and creating a culture that delivers exceptional service with consistency and passion.

The ideal candidate understands how to balance luxury guest expectations with strong business acumen — bringing expertise in team development, revenue strategy, guest experience, and operational excellence. Key Responsibilities
  • Lead all aspects of hotel operations with a strong focus on guest satisfaction, service excellence, profitability, and associate engagement
  • Create and maintain a guest-centric culture that inspires associates to consistently deliver exceptional luxury experiences
  • Drive financial performance through strategic planning, budgeting, forecasting, revenue optimization, and expense management
  • Analyze operational and financial reporting to identify opportunities and implement strategies that maximize profitability and market share
  • Partner closely with Sales, Marketing, Revenue Management, and Food & Beverage leaders to strengthen the hotel’s positioning and drive commercial performance
  • Recruit, develop, mentor, and lead a high-performing executive and departmental leadership team
  • Foster a collaborative and service-driven culture focused on accountability, communication, and continuous improvement
  • Maintain strong visibility throughout the hotel while ensuring exceptional product quality, cleanliness, and luxury service standards
  • Build relationships within the local community and represent the hotel positively with guests, ownership groups, business partners, and industry organizations
  • Lead operational and cultural initiatives that support the continued evolution and repositioning of the hotel within the luxury market
  • Partner closely with Human Resources to support associate relations, talent development, and compliance with company policies and procedures
  • Travel periodically for corporate meetings, leadership initiatives, and industry events
Qualifications
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience as a General Manager within a full-service hotel environment
  • Proven success leading upscale or luxury hotel operations required
  • Experience repositioning, reinventing, or elevating a hotel asset strongly preferred
  • Strong commercial acumen with demonstrated success driving revenue performance and operational excellence
  • Marriott brand experience strongly preferred
  • Exceptional leadership, communication, and team development skills
  • Strong understanding of hotel financials, budgeting, forecasting, and reporting
  • Bachelor’s degree in Hospitality Management or related field preferred
  • Mandarin language proficiency strongly preferred
