Opportunity Chief Engineer

Manage general and preventative maintenance functions to ensure guest service and sustainability standards are achieved and maintained throughout the hotel structure.

Area Chief Engineer – Regional Director of Engineering

• Leadership Interview, select, train, schedule, coach, and support associates to ensure they perform in accordance with brand standards and HHM core values.
• Financial And Vendor Oversight Manage and coordinate bids, quotes, and contracts for 3rd party vendors.
• Project Management Oversee small projects or Property Improvement Plans (PIPs) and report on work progress.
• Technical Repairs Perform and oversee diverse tasks including sheetrock repair, painting, furniture refinishing, and the replacement of electrical and plumbing fixtures.
• Equipment And Systems Troubleshoot kitchen equipment and repair heating/cooling pumps. You will also install and program televisions.
• Preventative Maintenance Maintain accurate records of PMs on all rooms and equipment; test and maintain life safety systems to ensure they are 100% operational.
• Compliance Coordinate compliance of service contracts and ensure all work meets local, state, and Federal codes.
• Operations Maintain the building exterior and curb appeal while following EarthView sustainability guidelines.
• Safety And Service Practice safe work habits following MSDS and OSHA standards while working to increase guest satisfaction scores.

• High School diploma and/or trade school coursework in a related field is preferred.
• Previous supervisory engineer/maintenance experience (or equivalent training) is required.
• HVAC certification is required.
• Other certifications may be required based on local needs.

Work Environment And Context

• Work schedule varies and may include working on holidays and weekends or alternate shifts.
• Requires standing for extended periods, walking, pushing, lifting up to 50 pounds, bending and reaching, climbing, stooping, kneeling or crouching.
